During the Day of the Dead celebration, CalArts joined in the festivities for a week, with students coming together to commemorate lost loved ones and celebrate together through performances of traditional Mexican dances.

As one of scenic designers, I took charge of various aspects of the event, including crafting decorations and assisting with the main installation altar that took place in the CalArts main gallery. I worked closely with the Creative Director, Pablo de Larrañaga Aramoni, accompanying him throughout the full production process from concept to execution. Additionally, I helped organize programming for the week’s events, including a watercolor workshop for students.
