As assistant scenic designer in this CalArts theater production, I assisted the scenic designer, Macine Johnson, throughout the entire process of creating the set including the developmental and realization stage. My role included maintaining clear communication with the props team, and crafting mood boards for the set dressing.I also assisted in building a scaled model of the set and supported scenic painting during construction. Scenic paint treatments included painting on scrim using diluted, high-contrast washes and creating a checkered floor treatment.
